1968 Convertible, Rare Tuxedo Black with White Top and Red Interior, L79 327 CI 350 HP Engine with a 4 Speed Manual Transmission. The first year of the C-3 Generation has always been a special one for Corvettes. I know because I was in high school and remember all of the excitement when the first one finally appeared in the showroom. WOW! It looked just like the predicted "Mako-Shark" derived from the show car. While the Mid -Years will always be iconic, the Third-Generation cars, especially the Chrome Bumper ones are loved by many as evidenced by the continuous rise in their prices. Many were amazed by the Big- Block cars, but the L79 powered ones almost always displayed their ability to keep up with the big boys, but have an edge in handling because of the lessened weight over the long front. This one is no exception! Under the hood is a non-original engine that does not match the VIN stamp. The odometer shows 98k Miles. The Interior is fitted with Red Comfort Weave Seats, Carpet, Dash, Console, etc. all newer and in Good Condition.
